The Apogee condo as you may already know is one of the many Miami Beach condos on the barrier island, albeit with the distinction of being in the South Beach area.  You need only do a tiny bit of research to know why it consistently receives tons of acclaim but what you may not be entirely familiar with is the South Beach area itself.  After all, if you're going to live in a South Beach condo you may as well make the most of what's around.

South Pointe Park is across the street to the southeast of Apogee Miami Beach.  This lush commons is a great place to unwind and enjoy the views of Biscayne Bay and Fisher Island.  The latter is notable for its complete lack of traditional vehicular access.  If you prefer dining, the classic yet still popular Joe's Stone Crab is also across the street from Apogee, allowing you to keep your vehicle at home and enjoy one of the famous stone crabs.

For some lively entertainment, all you need to do is walk east along South Pointe Drive to reach Ocean Drive.  Here you'll find some of Miami Beach's most popular hotspots near Apogee South Beach including the Nikki Beach club.

With so much to see and do on foot plus tons more barely ten minutes away, the location of Apogee is as attractive and magnificent as the building itself.

The Related Group is well known for spearheading a number of Miami Beach condos projects, Apogee being one of them.  Although the bulk of these condos have been erected in the barrier island and the neighboring area of downtown Miami, the Related Group is now looking to make its mark over in Broward County with a new partnership.

Joining forces with residential brokerage International Sales Group as Related ISG, the group will be overseeing the sales and launch of the new Apogee Beach condo in Hollywood, a 22 story project that may give the South Beach condos of its similarly named sibling a run for their money.  All 49 units within the building are “decorator ready” and are available with two to five bedrooms.

Don't forget that if moving to Hollywood isn't your thing, the Apogee condo right here in Miami Beach offers an ultra-private and high end lifestyle deep within the South Beach area.  You'll find just four residences on each floor; ensuring lots of space and quiet surroundings.

Among the several yearly events Miami Beach is well known for, the South Beach Food & Wine Festival is arguably right up there with Art Basel in popularity.  A longtime favorite among residents of the Apogee condo, this year the event celebrated its tenth anniversary and managed to do much more than simply function as a place to pick the brains of famous names like chefs Rachael Ray and Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse.

This year, the South Beach Food & Wine Festival saw considerable success with nearly 60,000 attendees, including people from Apogee South Beach.  Sponsored by Wine Spectator, the event also  raised over $2 million for the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management’s Teaching Restaurant and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center, both of which belong to Florida International University (FIU).  Speaking of which, the event also serves as valuable work experience for FIU students who are pursuing careers in the hospitality industry.

While Apogee Miami Beach wasn't the host of the South Beach Food & Wine Festival, its sibling the Fontainebleau condo did the hold the honor this time around.  If you've never been to one of the events, it's definitely worth a visit if only to taste some of the finest wines and delectable bites.

Having a parking garage with your own space at Apogee Miami Beach is incredibly convenient since it's within the South Beach area but come the weekend, it's arguably better to leave the car at home.  While there are several alternative means of getting around the city, you might be interested in learning about a brand new means of transportation.

Earlier today, the city of Miami Beach officially unveiled the DecoBike, an initiative belonging to the Bike Sharing and Rental Program which consists of more than ninety solar powered bike stations stocked with over 900 namesake bikes.  The stations are located throughout both ends of Miami Beach, ensuring that even residents of the Apogee condo won't need to head very far to rent a bike if they'd prefer to leave the car at home under the secure garage.

The DecoBike can be rented for thirty minutes, an hour or a month which costs, $4, $5, or $15 dollars respectively.  The bikes can be returned at any one of the several stations throughout the city.  Keep in mind that a credit card is required and that you will need to provide your own helmet and/or safety gear.

Next time you're looking for something to do near Apogee South Beach, why not try the DecoBike?  Not only will you be saving money, you'll be contributing towards a “greener” lifestyle.

One of Miami Beach's advantages when it comes to choosing where to live is its large selection of traditional homes and South Beach condos.  In the case of the latter, there are arguably just as many perks and limitations as choosing a single family home that might or might not make it a better fit for you.

So let's say you're eyeing something like Apogee Miami Beach.  The most obvious advantage Apogee would have is the large array of amenities which, considering the building itself, are much more than what's conventional.  A condo also offers a greater degree of security since gated parking, security guards and in many cases doormen are often part of the asking price.  If you're into maintenance, the upkeep in a condo is limited to what's inside your residence while mowing the lawn, cleaning sidewalks and pool maintenance remain the responsibility of the association.

Apogee South Beach is known for the limited number of units it contains which adds to better privacy but you will still have neighbors in closer proximity than what's customary in a traditional home.  If you're someone who carries a lot of stuff, storage space is extremely limited which might necessitate having to pay for public storage.

One last thing you might want to think about is creative freedom.  Depending on the building, there may be restrictions on how much you can customize your unit.  Consider these items carefully before choosing where to live.

Should you buy or should you rent?  It’s a hotly debated topic with enough pros and cons to leave you questioning whether it’s worth actually purchasing Miami Beach condos like Apogee South Beach or just renting them out until things stabilize a bit more.

Ultimately the wisest choice in the matter comes down to the location.  For example, it costs more to rent than it does to buy an apartment or condo in Jacksonville while the reverse is true in a city like New York where renting costs considerably less than buying.  Two bedroom Miami Beach condos are for the most part carrying average list prices that are less expensive than what one would pay in rent for the same type of property.

Now this may not hold true when it comes to a condominium like Apogee Miami Beach which falls under the category of luxury but it may be worth thoroughly considering your options if you’re considering settling down somewhere for the long term.  Homeownership does have more strings attached but it might be a better idea than seeing hundreds of dollars disappear each month in a renting scenario.  Ultimately the decision should be based on your needs and financial situation.
